About The Course
The 10786NAT Certificate IV in Indigenous Leadership builds upon an individual’s potential leadership skills and works to further develop these skills and knowledge. It establishes pathways to further education and training, enabling students to aspire to higher levels of responsibility in chosen arenas such as senior roles in workplaces and community organisations. The 10786NAT Certificate IV in Indigenous Leadership enables students to achieve the following goals:- Learn a broad range of leadership styles and demonstrate their application to a range of different situations and contexts.
- Become familiar with their own strengths, capabilities and personal communication styles and impact on others.
- Be provided with opportunities to apply their own leadership skills and course learning and experiences in the professional and personal lives.
- Develop further knowledge and a practical understanding of how to work collaboratively with others.
- Apply one’s own leadership vision and values to become a more effective leader.
- Strengthened and highly effective leadership skills.
- Strengthened personal confidence and interpersonal communication.
Course Delivery Structure
- 12 months maximum duration
- 14 units
- 110 hours of face-to-face training (this may be via video-conferencing in compliance with COVID-19 safety requirements)
- 370 hours of self-paced learning
- Blended delivery model, small group activities
- One-on-one weekly sessions with Program leader

If your enrolment application is successful, you will receive another link to your Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment. The LLN assessment is required so that the AILC can provide you with the appropriate assistance throughout the course.
Course Accreditation
Students who successfully complete this course and are deemed competent in all the required units will received a Nationally Recognised qualification.RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning and/or Credit Transfer

Leading the Way is a scholarship program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The scholarship is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants over 18 years and is offered nationally.The Certificate IV includes 14 Units of Competency respectively. Courses are delivered in Blocks (3 consecutive days) over four months. The Blocks cover the practical activities and theory of leadership. Courses will be delivered online in a virtual classroom. Remaining assessment requirements are to be completed outside of the Blocks, in the student's own time.
