About the course

The Certificate II in Indigenous Leadership is an introductory qualification in Indigenous Leadership that is intensively delivered in a blended style of learning to provide participants with the following general education outcomes:
  • Apply a small number of leadership styles to a range of different situations and contexts
  • Become familiar with one’s own personal strengths and capabilities to make space for further personal development
  • Be provided with the opportunity to apply leadership skills in professional and non-professional contexts
  • Learn about working effectively in teams and other productive working relationships
  • Understand and develop their own leadership vision and values
  • Build leadership skills and knowledge
  • Build your own personal and public confidence

Course Delivery Structure

  • 12 months maximum duration
  • 9 units
  • 230 hours of face-to-face training (this may be via video conferencing in compliance with COVID-19 safety requirements)
  • 430 hours of self-paced learning
  • Blended delivery model, small group activities
  • Regular checks in Trainers and/or Program Leaders
